Hello hello, moomargh here writing to you about all kinds of awesome things, toys, mainly. This is my first post as you might have noticed, but without any further introductions I'd like to dive right into the world of toys rather than talk about myself (I'll make a better intro post later, maybe..).

I collect lots of different toys and here is one line I really like! Novi Star dolls. They are fashion dolls released by MGA Entertainment in 2012. Sadly the line didn't get too much attention and it only ran from 2012 til 2014 and has only 24 different dolls. But hey, I guess it's not all bad, at least it means it's not suuuper impossible to collect them all huh :)

Couple of weeks ago I found some Novi's from a local sales page and just had to grab them. I got six new dolls for a very nice price. So far I've opened two of the dolls, and here they are!

Vera Tabray & Mimi Merize.

These are 'super novas'-dolls. Most of the doll names are a fun play-on-words, like Vera's name would be 'vertebra' and Mimi's probably 'mesmerize' or so. The dolls usually also have some 'special effect' to them. For Vera it's that her wings actually flutter when you press on them and for Mimi, you can make her eyes spin when you press down on her antenna.

Here is Vera Tabray! Unfortunately I wasn't super happy about her at first. Her hair was pretty much a mess out of the box! It will still need a lot of styling for sure. There were also bits of hair coming out when I took her from the box. I guess it's because she has rooted hair like most Novi's and it might easily come off (unlike Mimi's, who has a wig!). Also her whole theme doesn't really seem so clear to me. I really love her colours and the wings are really pretty. Oh and she has three eyes, did you notice? :P I love those as well. If you look closely at her knees and ankles you can see they have hearts on them and those are very cute little details. But somehow the whole 'vertebra' thingy got lost to me, it's not so clear. I will also need to do some serious hair-styling to make that puff settle.
